French-born and Venetian by adoption, Silvia Finiels discovered in Murano glass a fascination with antique beads and vintage pieces, gradually developing an intimate knowledge of its colours, techniques and history.
Through Aventurina Design, Silvia gives new life to remarkable glass elements created by Murano’s historic furnaces and masters. She searches for unique pieces, reworks them and combines them with contemporary glass and other materials to create one-of-a-kind lamps and luminous sculptures.
What we particularly value about Silvia’s work is the freedom with which she brings these different elements together. Rooted in the traditions of Murano, her designs are unmistakably her own: unexpected combinations of form, colour and texture, brought together with remarkable elegance.
